From the 39th Parallel South, the southernmost region in the world for growing grapes comes 2007 Alpataco Pinot Noir out of Patagonia, Argentina. The award winning Familia Schroeder Pinot Noir offers subtle wildflower notes with beautifully balanced rich berry fruit and earthy minerality. A unique and exciting take on a favorite varietal, especially at $14.99.
A fine bottle for inspiring interesting conversation. For starters it’s a Chenin Blanc from South Africa. It’s also organically grown, and word is they employ a posse? flock? herd? of Peking ducks to keep pesky snails off the vines. Beautifully well balanced with juicy tropical fruit and bright minerality, it’s dense and juicy. A sweet steal at $12.99.
Another jem in the Furque portfolio is their Roble series.
These Syrah and Tempranillo wines are similar to the rustic style of the Alberto Furque line but much more complex and involved. They offer some deep fruit and a brambly mid-palate to keep things interesting. They are marked down from $27.99 to $20.99.

They hail from Argentina and are made in a lovely but rustic fashion. We love the old world style of the Syrah and Tempranillo, they’re marked down from $14.99 to $11.99. We have a new SALE section in the front of the store where we’ll be rotating some of our stock to make our more expenssive wines attainable.
