Always a treat for yourself or as a gift, Cakebread Chardonnay is in and we even have a MINI VERSION.
Affordable New Zealand wines? Sure, we have ‘em. Manu is new to us but we thought their Pinot and SB were excellent for the price. We’re trying to find some excellent value wines and these fit perfectly in that catagory. Check out their technical info HERE.
Remember this wine? It previously had a yellow label and a cartoon drawing on it and since then they’ve given it a new face. The wine is even better and the price is still very low. Monastrell is the equivalent of Mourvedre and although it can be intense and grippy this bottle from Spain is easy going.

Guess what’s coming soon………….

Jack Daniels has a large selection of distillery-only special bottlings but they have just released the Monogram series into retail stores. It was previously only sold at hotels/resorts and now they have released it into Middle Tennessee. We’re told that this is the only area in the country that is getting it so it’s a great collector’s edition. It’s also 94 proof.

CORSAIR makes some great spirits and we’re happy to show off their gin. They’re making the stuff in Bowling Green, KY with an office here in town, the gin is light with citrus notes and isn’t as heavy on the herbal side of things like Bombay. The 750ml bottles just came in and the pints are still available, we think you’ll love ‘em.

All right people the Mollydooker is in! And going fast we might add! It looks like an exciting vintage of your favorites from Sarah and Sparky Marquis, who started Mollydooker Wines a mere four years ago and have been producing one award winning wine after another. Just arrived, 2008 The Maitre D Cabernet Sauvignon, 2008 Two Left Feet Shiraz/Cabernet/Merlot, and 2008 The Boxer Shiraz, all for $26.99. They’re only available for a limited time, so be sure to stop in.

Summer is a time where wine stores are slower than normal, maybe it’s the heat, maybe everyone is drinking beer, or maybe everyone is out of town. We don’t often pick up new products in the summer because not as many people are shopping for wine but we couldn’t resist the Barnard Griffin wines. They’re from the central part of Washington and offer some well-priced alternatives to your Pinot Grigio tendencies. We picked up their Rose, Pinot Gris, and dry Riesling. The price is right and the quality is top notch….

Wallace Brook is the second label from Adelsheim and we were lucky enough to try their Chardonnay. It’s going to replace their CH Chardonnay label but in a more modest price point with light tropical fruits and a subtle but densely complex core. We’re very excited about the label and hope you’ll try some, the supply is limited but we’ll do our best to keep them in.
By the way, they’re only $12.
